Two weeks after the 2nd assignment and only 11 of the 14 people have the assignment in. I need to look into whether they are being slack because they don't sense the urgency or because they are having trouble or something else.

I didn't assign homework last week and the discussion boards were very quiet, not sure if that's a direct correlation.

I think people like looking at examples and practicing. The reading and thinking only appeal to the thinky dinkies.

Just returned from the IA Summit and met two of my students in person. One said the first half of the class was very helpful because he hadn't done that type of work but had done schematics etc., the other said the exact opposite.

Also met the manager of three other students, who said they were getting out of it what she had hoped, but that some of them said they didn't have the right personalities for online learning.
